Born in Japan in 1972 Miyo Yoshida has lived in Brasil and Italy for 15 years before moving to London in 1998.

Miyo has started her career in Interior Design and Architecture in Milan, moved onto TV Set Design for the most notorious productions and broadcasters in the UK (Channel4 Big Brother, itv Hell’s Kitchen, MTV, BBC to mention a few) and she has recently challenged herself into a new venture, creating a collection of Jewellery and Fashion Accessories.

Miyo focuses on the distinguishable disciplines as well as “filling the gaps” between them: she explores elements that can be produced utilising the teachings offered by traditional metal work and jewel making and melting them with notions of tailoring and craftsmanship of accessories, to create pieces that can be worn as hybrids:
jewel yet garment; accessory yet decoration.

The duality of her production delivers a kind of prêt-à-porter that is able to retain a very personal style.
Her pieces attain more than one use; they fulfil more than one function, they are both objects and a toys,
articles that the individual can adapt and re-invent to their taste.

Miyo’s passion for dealing with all sorts of materials, from metals to leather and fabrics from ceramics to resins and more, demands her to co-operate with dexter craftsmen who have the skills and knowledge to push the materials limit to the maximum, experts from different fields who can bring their personal ability to achieve the best resulting pieces.
